Executry/Deceased Estates

Our Executry Services are available when a person has died and the estate of the deceased needs to be wound up. An estate is made up of everything the deceased owned, including their home, car, personal belongings, money, insurance policies and pensions.

A death is always emotionally tough to deal with. When someone close to you dies, we can deal with the administration of and winding up of the estate on behalf of the executors who have been appointed in the deceased’s Will. Where no Will has been left, we can apply to the court to have an executor appointed on behalf of the beneficiaries.  Our aim is to make a complicated and distressing process as straightforward as possible and less stressful for you.

We will deal with all legal matters pertaining to the estate namely obtain a Death Certificate, establish the extent of the deceased’s estate, pay any Inheritance Tax due, obtain Confirmation (we will gather a full inventory of the deceased’s assets), contact all Banks, Building Societies,  Insurance Companies, and Registrars involved, ingather the estate funds, make payment of the deceased’s debts and expenses of administration and thereafter distribute the estate in terms of the deceased’s Will or Intestate Succession. Our aim is to get the estate wrapped up in a professional and timely manner to allow closure for the loved ones of the deceased.
